There are many countries in the world who are still waiting for an Olympic gold which has been in their waiting list since very very long time. It is not at all easy to win Olympic gold as it does need lots of support and effort to be there. There are also some small countries with less population who are able to grab gold medals quite easily again and again and this is mainly because of the born talent of certain individuals and in other times it is the facilities or huge support they get from their country which does help them create history. Sports is also given highest priority in countries like china and that is also one reason for china doing well in Olympics.
There is also politics involved in some of the countries resulting in bad selections for Olympics team and as a result their performance will be bad in Olympics. There are many talented sports persons in the world who are not given any chance because of politics involved in selection. Priority should be given to talent and not to political power which has badly effected many countries. When we see good talent from all the countries competing together, this Olympics event will be greatest. But though Olympics is still the greatest of them all, we all know that there are many hidden talents who are not given any chance here. Sometimes funds are not properly used to get the best out of talented sports persons as these funds will be misused and people will not even come to know about all these.
The big question in Olympics is the failure of hugely populated country to win a gold medal in any of the events in Olympics. When there is population, there will be talents for sure and not winning a gold medal even then is a huge question mark that can be answered only by the officials involved of those effected countries. Politics should never be allowed to enter selection of Olympics team as this is the biggest event of the world and people should also get the best out of it and politics getting involved in any way will only harm the event. Sports authorities should only identify talents and give proper training to them by using proper funds without letting any politics in any way. When the talented sports persons are given good support here, they do perform well
